THREE people have been arrested in connection with an Anglesey murder investigation.
North Wales Police confirmed on Friday that an ‘incident room’ had been set up at Llangefni Police Station following the death of a local male.
The force has now confirmed that two people were arrested this morning in Holyhead in connection with the murder of the 58-year-old local man and are being held at custody suites in North Wales.
A 47-year-old local man, who was arrested on Tuesday night in connection with this incident, has now also been arrested on suspicion of murder.
DCI Brian Kearney said: “Clearly our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the victim and we continue to request that their privacy is respected at this very tragic time.
"We fully appreciate the shock this has caused with our community and we are continuing to appeal to anyone who has any information to come forward.
“Early this morning, officers from the investigation team arrested a 38-year-old local man on suspicion of murder.
"A 44-year-old woman was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder, again in the Holyhead area.
"Three people are now being held in connection with this murder."
