THE Storiel museum in Bangor has reopened with new displays after being closed due to Coronavirus restrictions.

Storiel, in Ffordd Gwynedd, is a location that keeps and display many historical artefacts and collections that are linked with Gwynedd. As well as this it displays local arts and craft.

From today, Wednesday November 18 onwards it will be possible to visit Storiel between 11am and 4pm between Wednesdays and Saturdays.

During the recent Firebreak period, Storiel has had the opportunity to create new displays.

Councillor Gareth Thomas, Gwynedd Council Cabinet Member for Economy said, “Even though it’s still a busy and worrying time it’s very affirmative to see locations like Storiel opening their doors safely.

“With the winter nearing, there are less things to do to entertain our families. Having locations like these reopening is a great opportunity to do this safely and support the local economy.”

Megan Corcoran, Gwynedd Council Museum Coordinator added: “We’ve tried our best to make sure that Storiel will be able to provide special experiences to local citizens as safely as possible.

“We’re all looking forward to having everyone back to enjoy our displays and to have some excitement back in the building.”

It’s necessary to book a space before visiting Storiel. To do this visit: www.storiel.cymru, or telephone Storiel on 01248353368 during opening times. There is a time limit of an hour and a maximum of six persons in a group at a time to ensure that everyone is safe and maintain social distancing.
