THREE men and three women appeared in court today accused of kidnapping a child on Anglesey.

James Neary, prosecuting at Llandudno magistrates’ court, said that the child, aged under 10, was found unharmed in a vehicle which was stopped at Watford Gap services on the M1 on November 4.

The six defendants were all remanded in custody by District Judge Gwyn Jones to appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on December 7.

They were Dr Anke Hill, 51, of Cae Glas, Llanfaethlu, near Holyhead; Jane Going-Hill, 59, of Pump Street, Holyhead; her partner Robert Frith, 65, of Ty’n Parc, Holyhead; husband and wife Edward Stevenson, 68, and Janet Stevenson, 66, of Parnell Close, Maidenbouer, Crawley, West Sussex; and Wilfred Wong, 55, of Galen Place, Camden, London.

All are charged with kidnapping a child under 10 at Gaerwen, in Anglesey. Wong also faces a charge of possessing a knife.

Hill and Going-Hill indicated that they would be pleading guilty.
