A NUMBER of residents from the Maes Berea, Bangor have gathered together to pick litter from the streets in their estate.
A spokesperson for the residents said: “The community of Maes Berea came together on Tuesday October 27, assisted by a Bangor PCSO who supplied us some equipment and attended by cllr Gareth Roberts our Dewi Ward cllr, to do a socially distanced litter pick on our estate.
“It was a great event to keep spirits up during lockdown. It also resulted in 10 bags of litter being cleared from the paths that go through the estate from other parts of Bangor. We hope going forward that people will think twice before dropping their litter.”
The nearby McDonald’s restaurant supplied all the children who took part with a happy meal.
