WREXHAM residents are being urged to stay safe during the upcoming bonfire and fireworks season.
Wrexham Council took to social media yesterday (October 26), to inform residents that with organised events being cancelled due to the current 'fire-break' lockdown, many may be tempted to set off fireworks and have bonfires in their own gardens, but are strongly reminded that safety should remain a top priority.
They posted: "Remember, remember stay safe this November.
"We urge you to think twice and follow advice if you want to use fireworks at home.
"Stay away from naked flames if you’re wearing fancy dress.
"If you want to buy fireworks for use in your garden, you can.
"But fireworks are dangerous, and the added risks of Coronavirus means you should think very carefully about doing so this year.
"If you do buy fireworks for your own use, you should always follow the Firework Code."
