FAMILIES can take part in an interactive family show featuring comedy and crazy characters every Sunday.

Pigtown Theatre is streaming the weekly virtual event titled Follow Mochdre which aims to entertain families and young children as communities across Conwy county are on lockdown.

The show includes characters such as the American Si Cotic, who searches the streets for people’s rubbish, food and drink lover Ben Digeddig, who reviews cafes and outlets around the town, as well as Mimi Pengoch who gives viewers a virtual tour of her virtual world called Mochdre Minecraft.

It also celebrates community life and puts the town of Mochdre at its heart, having received a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund.

While it is local in setting and cast, the show has had support from viewers watching from as far as Massachusetts in the United States.

Pigtown’s artistic director Vickie Fleming said: “We can’t thank National Lottery players enough for the support we have received. Follow Mochdre has been a way of bringing our community together, a focus for many people to get involved and a real positive way to keep people connected during this very hard year.

“As a theatre company we are constantly looking for new ways to connect with audiences and this project has been a really special one as we have been able to do something positive for our own village.”

Follow Mochdre is streamed on the Pigtown Theatre Facebook page until November 29.
