BEAUMARIS lifeboat has rescued a boat adrift in the Menai Strait, which was causing a possible navigation hazard.
A spokesman for the lifeboat said: “The vessel, A 16.5 feet long Warrior day fishing boat, had been reported to be drifting by her owner early this morning, Wednesday October 14, with no one aboard. It was located near Plas Menai and taken in tow back to her owner at Moel Y Don.
“The boat was drifting with the tide and creating a possible navigation hazard to other vessels it was decided to launch the Beaumaris Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat.”
