WITNESSES are being sought following a near-miss collision with a pedestrian in Menai Bridge.

This happened on Thursday, September 24.

Shortly after 11am North Wales Police were informed of a one-vehicle collision involving a black Vauxhall Corsa on Pentraeth Road just outside the grounds of Ysgol David Hughes.

The Corsa, which had been travelling from the direction of the Four Crosses roundabout, collided with a wall, narrowly missing the male pedestrian.

PC Daniel Edwards of the Roads Policing Unit said: “The pedestrian, although shocked, was uninjured however was extremely lucky. This could easily have been a serious if not fatal collision.

“The driver is now under investigation and I am appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the Corsa being driven prior to the collision to contact us.

"The Corsa had two males and a female on board and anybody who may have dash cam footage is urged to contact us immediately.”
