Author Warren Kovach has written a new book entitled The A-Z of the Isle of Anglesey.

Published by Amberley Publishing, it reveals the stories behind the island, its places and people.

It also paints a broad picture of Anglesey’s history through the ages and brings to life the story of how the island of today was shaped.

This A-Z tour of Anglesey’s history is illustrated with photography and will appeal to all those with an interest in this distinctive island.

Its author picks out the places and people that make Anglesey special, from Churches and Chapels to Lighthouses, which are of particular importance on the island, to large landowning families such as the Bulkeleys and prominent individuals such as Christmas Evans and Kyffin Williams.

Kovach examines the richness of the natural world on the island will be addressed in sections on the Geology and Nature Reserves sections, the economy and social structures examined in sections like Fairs and Markets, Industry and Transport.

The author's previous books include Anglesey Through Time, published in 2013, and 2017's Anglesey in 50 Buildings.

He was also the co-author of the book A Walking Guide to the Menai Strait Bridges, published by Menai Heritage in 2015.
