THE North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) team was called out assist a man with a leg injury in a Deeside park this weekend.
The rescue team was alerted to the incident on September 13 at about 4.30pm and came to the aid of the man at Wepre Park in Connah’s Quay.
In total, the team said that 15 team members responded with two Land Rovers. They stood down at 6pm when the incident was concluded.
A spokesman for the NEWSAR team said: “Earlier this evening to assist Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust to extract a male with a serious lower leg injury in Wepre Park, Deeside.
“WAST paramedics provided first aid to the injured male before we stretchered him to the waiting Ambulance.
“We attend incidents at Wepre every year, but so far 2020 is proving to be unusually busy.”
