AN ANGLESEY man was refused bail when he appeared in court accused of dangerous driving and driving when banned following a police pursuit of a car on the A4086 near Caernarfon.
On Monday, Peter Hughes, 32, of Cleveland Crescent, Holyhead, pleaded guilty to the charges as well as being uninsured and having cannabis.
Prosecutor James Neary at Llandudno court said Hughes was involved in a 20-minute pursuit on August 23 and showed “complete disregard” for the safety of other road users, crashing through gates and into a sheep.
In May last year, he got a suspended sentence and ban for dangerous driving. “The sentence is inevitable,” Mr Neary added.
District judge Gwyn Jones remanded Hughes in custody until September 18 at Caernarfon crown court. He said there was a chase along back roads.
Defence solicitor Tudur Owen said Hughes knew he faced imprisonment but he sought bail.
