A BUTCHER shop in Denbighshire was broken into over the weekend.

North Wales Police say they received reports at 7.27am on Sunday morning that the window of Prestatyn Butchers, had been smashed sometime overnight.

They added that no entry into the property had been gained.

Prestatyn Butchers themselves took to Facebook with the following statement after the incident: "So overnight at the shop, we along with another premises three doors down have had our windows smashed- a young male and his girlfriend having a argument ended up in the male punching his fist completely through the window- on looking through the eight cameras we have installed here at the shop it is absolutely unbelievable the impact and what has happened.

"Thank you to our cleaner Michelle for letting me know".
