TWO teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to a police van in Holyhead on Sunday night.
North Wales Police said it arrested a 15 and 17-year-old after the windscreen of an emergency response vehicle was smashed and a dent put in its roof.
District acting inspector Ian Roberts said the pair are being held at Caernarfon Custody and called for witnesses to come forward.
“Ultimately this is senseless damage which will remove the emergency vehicle from service until public money be used to repair," said Mr Roberts.
"We simply cannot afford to have our 999 vehicles out of service at any time, particularly during the summer period."
"If the Holyhead community have information regarding this incident or may have witnessed the incident, please contact us via 101 or via the north wales police webchat, quoting 20000508554.”
