A LAND ROVER was found floating off the coast of Conwy over the weekend.
The RNLI confirmed that the vehicle had been spotted off Colwyn Bay.
The vehicle is said to have become stuck in mud near Porth Eirias on Friday, with the owner having been advised by the coastguard to get it moved by a recovery firm.
It then appeared to have been left overnight and subsequently became submerged by the tide.
An RNLI spokesperson said that volunteers in Llandudno were tasked with investigating the incident in Conwy at around 6.30am on Saturday morning.
They added that crews were required to "urgently investigate an abandoned vehicle" which had been found by North Wales Police.
The incident was attended by crews onboard the Dr Barbara Saunderson lifeboat.
No occupants were found inside the car following a "very thorough check" by RNLI volunteers, who were "concerned about pollution" as the car's engine was underwater.
