A DRUG DEALER from Merseyside, with connections to Bangor, has been jailed for 34 months.

On July 24, Connor Higgins, was jailed for possession with intent to supply Cocaine, possession of Cannabis, and also being concerned in the supply of Cannabis.

On Wednesday, North Wales Police also successfully obtained cash forfeiture orders in respect of the money they seized when they arrested him, totalling more than £3,000.

Inspector Chris Hargrave said: "This is great news, as not only have we removed a persistent offender from the streets of Bangor, but also monies confiscated under the Proceeds of Crime Act are often used to the benefit of local communities.*

"We are committed to keeping our community safe, and will continue to pursue those who bring misery and danger through their criminal behaviour."

*A fund set up by North Wales and Crime Commissioner Arfon Jones with the support of North Wales Police and the North Wales Police and Crime Trust (PACT) provides grants to local initiatives.
