A MAN who admitted breaching a restraining order claimed a lover had sent him images of a baby with a belt around the neck and warned: ”If you don’t come back to me this is what’s going to happen,” a court heard.

On Wednesday, defence solicitor Tudur Owen told a district judge at Llandudno the noose threat happened during FaceTime contact.

He said :”It shows the lengths and desperation she goes to in ensuring contact continues. She harasses him.”

Carl Fomel Jones, 33, of Bron y Graig, Llangefni pleaded guilty to having contact with the woman when prohibited after CCTV showed them together, and a separate offence of sending menacing messages via Facebook to a Holyhead man.

Mr Owen said Jones was in a difficult situation. He was pressured by the young mum to come back to her and, when he refused, she reacted “unbelievably.” The tot was subject to care proceedings although there was no suggestion Jones had put the baby at risk.

Prosecutor Rhian Jackson said the mother had been quizzed about the photographs.

Mrs Jackson added that police had attended the defendant’s home on Tuesday and armed officers were deployed after Jones threatened to harm himself.

Judge Huw Edwards remanded him in custody for sentencing at Caernarfon crown court.
