A 37-year-old Gwynedd man had “groomed and manipulated” a child before they had sex, a judge said on Thursday when he was jailed for four years.
Leon Owen, of Chapel Street, Porthmadog, received a sexual harm prevention order and must register as a sex offender. He admitted sexual activity with a teenager.
Judge Nicola Jones at Caernarfon crown court told him: "Your attitude towards the offending is extremely concerning. You have a lack of victim empathy.”
Defence barrister Elen Owen said he had been lonely but was now in a relationship with a woman who was aware of the case.
