AN APPEAL for information has been issued after a pile of dead rabbits, believed to have been poached, were found in Gwynedd.
On Saturday, North Wales Police's Rural Crime Team posted the picture above to the Twitter of the rabbits which had been found by a member of the public in Porthmadog.
A spokesperson for the team said: "A pile of dead rabbits has been found by a member of the public in the Porthmadog area. Possibly a result of poaching. Please let us know if you have any info. Diolch."
In the UK, poaching is classed as a 'wildlife crime'.
It is defined as killing or taking a bird, mammal or fish without having a legal right or the consent from the landowner on which the animal is killed.
