A FRAUD INVESTIGATION which came after a man was killed with a crossbow on Anglesey has resulted in two people being summoned to court.

North Wales Police launched the investigation after 39-year-old Terence Whall shot and killed Gerald Corrigan on Good Friday April 19, at his home in Gof Du near Holyhead, in 2019.

They have now confirmed today that a 49-year-old Anglesey man and his partner, a 50-year-old woman have been summonsed to appear at Caernarfon Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 13.

Ds Arwel Hughes said: "Following the shooting of Gerald Corrigan at Gof Du, Penrhos Feliw, Anglesey on the 19th of April 2019, a parallel fraud investigation was launched in May 2019 with a small dedicated enquiry team.

"As part of that investigation, a file was subsequently submitted to our local Crown Prosecution Service earlier this year.

"Following consultation with lawyers at the Crown Prosecution Service, a local man has been summonsed for 6 offences of fraud by false representation contrary to Sections 1 and 2 of the Fraud Act 2006.

"The man’s partner has been summonsed for a money laundering offence contrary to sections 328(1) and 334 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

"Marie Bailey, the partner of Gerald Corrigan, Neale his son and Fiona his daughter have been fully updated and we would request that their privacy remains respected at this time."
