TWO dogs that 'savaged sheep' on Anglesey have had to be put down.

The incident, which happened last week on Holy Island, involved two Alsatians.

North Wales Police Rural Crime Team tweeted on May 14: "Last week two Alsatians savaged sheep on Holy Island, Anglesey.

"The job has been finalised today and the two Alsatians have been put to sleep.

"We've said it before and we'll say it again - there are no winners when it comes to sheep worrying.

"Very sad and completely avoidable."
