A North Wales carer faces the prospect of not being able to get to her clients after bizarre damage was done to her car.

The 41-year-old woman from Acrefair, Wrexham, twice in as many days had her Vauxhall Corsa's exhaust pipe filled with expanding foam, pieces of metal and tissues.

The woman, wishing to remain anonymous, is a social carer in the Wrexham area and now faces not being able to get round to all her clients after being warned not to drive the car by her insurance company.

Both incidents have occurred late in the evening on Saturday and Sunday.

North Wales Chronicle:

The woman told our sister title The Leader: "It's totally bizarre that this has happened, I don't have any enemies or issues with anybody - so I've no idea why this has happened.

"At this of all times it's really disappointing - we should all be pulling together and I'm obviously a lot busier than usual right now and I don't even have my car now.

"I have people that depend on me, especially so at the moment. In these most testing times it's a shame people would want to do something like this.

"I'm going to have to try and car share with my colleagues, if not they'll have to try and cover for me."

A North Wales Police spokesman said: "Interference with a vehicle reported at 10.46pm on Sunday.

"The exhaust of a silver Vauxhall Corsa had been filled with foam, metal and tissue."
