THE total number of deaths in relation to coronavirus across north Wales now stands at 93, health chiefs have announced.

Public Health Wales has confirmed that as of 2pm on Saturday (April 25) 65 new cases of the virus have been reported across the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area, bringing the region's total to 1,062.

Yesterday Public Health Wales confirmed there had been 84 coronavirus deaths across North Wales since March 20.

Today, the authority has confirmed that as of 5pm on April 24, the cumulative number of deaths across the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Region currently stands at 93.

In terms of the 65 new cases; 27 were reported in Conwy, ten were in Wrexham, ten in Flintshire, seven in Gwynedd six in Denbighshire, and five on Anglesey.

Across Wales, 299 new cases have been reported - bringing that total to 8,900.

The total number of deaths reported across Wales is now 774, but Public Health Wales has said the true number will be higher.
