THREE parcels containing controlled substances have been intercepted by a postal operator on Anglesey.

The discoveries have been made over the last seven days, according to North Wales Police officers operating on the island.

A spokesperson for The Force said: "In the last week, three parcels containing controlled substances have been inspected and intercepted by a postal operator on Anglesey. They kindly delivered them to the police for seizure.

"The persons expecting the deliveries got a unexpected door knock".
