A 'SERIOUS' crash on a stretch of the A55 in Gwynedd closed the road for more than seven hours in the early hours of this morning.
According to Traffic Wales, the crash which took place on the eastbound carriageway at Tal-y-bont, near Bangor, at around 1am, was a 'serious Police incident'.
A spokesperson said: "Please note that #A55 Eastbound between J11 (Llandygai)– J13 (Abergwyngregyn) has been closed since 1am on 1/4/20 due to a serious Police incident.
"Diversion route is via #A470/#A5."
North Wales Police were on the scene but it is not yet clear as to whether or not anyone was hurt during the collision.
The road fully re-opened at just past 9am, Police confirmed.
