A HEALTH studio aims to bring Wales together during the ‘tough times’.

As the UK enters its second week of lockdown JS-PT Health Studio, based in Connah’s Quay, has created an online platform to get everyone together whilst in isolation.

Head coach Jack Sullivan told the Leader that when the lockdown was announced they expanded what they were doing to help more people and have transferred everything online.

He said: “We have transferred everything we do to online so we can still coach people fact-to-face. We have built up this community so people can still interact.

“But more so it’s the mental impact, people still feel part of the community and are still getting to see people without going out.

“We just want to make sure we influence their day in a positive way. More so after the first week of lockdown, people have struggled and it’s important now more than ever to give that sense of community.”

The Leader:

The online sessions include fitness workouts, coffee mornings and they have even teamed up with other businesses to bring in new tutorials such as cooking lessons.

Jack added: “A lot of people are alone and feeling lonely so it’s about being positive rather than negative.

“A lot of our users are enjoying the exercise but it’s about trying to build that sense of community because none of us know how long this will go on for.

“Last week we had over 270 people take part in our sessions which is massive. We have branched out across North Wales and Chester and one of our biggest goals is to bring down the obesity and mental health stats in Wales as a whole.

“We are just trying to keep everyone together during the tough times.”
