GWYNEDD Council, Dyfrig Siencyn has written to all holiday letting agencies in the county, asking them to close availability immediately.

Councillor Siencyn said: “We are living in unprecedented times due to Coronavirus Covid-19 however, despite the clear advice from our Governments, some agencies are still showing availability in Gwynedd.

“My message to letting agents in Gwynedd is clear - if you have not already acted, I urge you to close availability immediately so that we can stop the spread of the virus, and limit the impact of visitors on the people of Gwynedd and our health and care services locally which are already under considerable pressure.

“The length of closure is to be reviewed in line with Government advice.”

Gwynedd Council has already closed all of its attractions; it has closed or has limited access to many beaches, footpaths, slipways and harbours. All Cadw, National Museum and Snowdonia National Park attractions have closed in addition to all other main attractions locally. Non-essential travel to the area should not take place.
