AN APPEAL has been launched for food and essential items for people in need by the organisers a Colwyn Bay emergency support hub.
The Old Colwyn Events group has set up the hub in St John’s Church.
Kai Davies, Director and Event Manager of Old Colwyn Events said: “We wanted to put this project on to help our local community.
“But following the Prime Minister’s announcement we have had to cut the number of people down that are based in our hub. We now only have two volunteers here at a time. But we have a number of drivers helping us deliver items and anyone that wants to help us deliver packages would be really welcomed.
“Similarly we would like to appeal for contributions of food and essential items for everyday life.
“We’re asking anyone who can donate items to get in touch or bring them down to the drop in centre with the new opening times of: Tuesdays to Thursdays and Sunday from 10am until 3pm.
