A POPULAR venue in Wrexham has postponed all wedding events due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Iscoyd Park, which is located near Whitchurch, took to social media on March 20, to inform the public of the sudden change to its services, which will involve all pre-existing booked weddings to being rescheduled at no additional cost.

They posted: "We have been closely monitoring the the ever-developing situation with the terrible COVID 19 virus.

"We are left with no choice but to postpone all weddings from April 5 - July 31 2020.

"We feel that by continuing to hold weddings, we are putting our couples under huge pressure to make really difficult decisions that involve the wellbeing of their loved ones.

"We are not cancelling any weddings and have been working very hard over the last few days to find new dates.

"We have cancelled all non-wedding events, including tastings, supper clubs, Sunday lunches and afternoon teas for the foreseeable future in order that we can find new dates for the weddings that have needed to be postponed."

Owners of the three-storey redbrick country house have also assured current clients that they are being as flexible as possible with finding alternative dates, but due to restrictions, some weddings will have to take place during the week.

They added: "We are hopeful that with the prospect of new testing and possible vaccines, the virus will be brought under control and we will be able to reopen before the end of July, although we must also plan for a less rosey outcome.

"We are constantly monitoring the situation and if it looks like things are not improving, we will start looking at postponing August and then September weddings and so on.

"We are absolutely determined to keep tour tea, together through this difficult time.

"We are working hard even though we are not currently running weddings.

"Please do get in touch with any questions you may have."
