A Caersws patient has tested positve for coronavirus.
It is not known whether this is a new case or one of the previous confirmed cases in Powys.
A poster placed in the window of Caersws surgery said: "A Caersws patient has tested positive for coronavirus.
"We have closed immediately to deep clean. We will endeavour to open as soon as possible."
In a post on Facebook, Arwystli Group Medical Practice said: "Due to a confirmed Covid-19 (Coronavirus) case in the practice area we (Llanidloes Medical Practice) will only be seeing urgent cases today.
"If you feel it is urgent for today please contact the surgery and we will organise a call back on the triage list.
"If you are having any flu like symptoms then please self isolate for seven days.
"If you are having chest pain or feel that it is an emergency please contact 999."
Elsewhere Caersws Surgery will be closed all day on Friday due to staff shortages.
Montgomery Medical Practice announced on Thursday that it would be closed to routine appointments and increasingly practices have been shutting their doors amid the pandemic.
