FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze at a derelict building in Holyhead on Wednesday evening,
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said it sent two crews to the fire at the rural property near Lon Newydd at about 6.20pm.
A fire service spokesperson said the fire is believed to have been deliberately started.
They added that North Wales Police is investigating the incident.
“We sent to crews from Holyhead to a fire near Lon Newydd at 6.20pm on Wednesday, March 11,” the spokesperson said.
“One hose reel jet was used to put out the fire.
“The fire was started deliberately.”
The spokesperson said the fire was put out just after 8pm.
