TY GOBAITH children’s hospice in Conwy has received £13,500 from shop workers in 20 Cooperative stores across North Wales.
A cheque was presented to Ty Gobaith after funds were raised in a series of fundraising initiatives carried out by Co-op staff including: bike rides, duck races, hikes to the top of Snowdon, raffles and cake sales. The money raised by the Co-op will be used to support the charity’s work to help hundreds of families across North Wales who are caring for a terminally ill child.
Beverley Bradley, fundraiser at Ty Gobaith, said: “We are delighted with the support from the Co-op, the money raised will make a huge difference.”
Carl Pettersson, Co-op Area Manager, said: “The Co-op is committed to connecting communities and, making a difference locally. This is a cause which colleagues felt passionate about supporting."
