A PERSON has been hit by a car in an Anglesey village this morning.

North Wales Police, who were called to the scene at 9.03am, have confirmed that a person has been struck by a vehicle in Benllech.

A spokesperson said: "We were called to Benllech at 9.03am this morning to reports of a person being hit by a car.

"The road was closed for quite some time but has now re-opened."

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service added: “We were called to a road traffic collision in Benllech, Anglesey at approximately 8.57am today.

"We responded with the emergency medical transfer and retrieval team in the Air Ambulance and one emergency ambulance.

“One patient was conveyed by road to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor for treatment.”
