Football club hopes to build new spectators stand so they can stay in league
PLANS have been put forward to create a spectator stand at Corwen FC.
The football club is required by the Football Association of Wales to have a seating capacity of 250. It currently has one stand for 100 people.
Applicant Michael McNamara, of Corwen FC - based at War Memorial Park, said: "We currently have one stand of 100 and this application is to meet the requirements necessary to stay in the league. The stand will be enclosed and will only be used on match days during the duration of the game.
"The area is covered by CCTV.
"It is proposed to build this next to the current stand and will not impact on any other use of the park.
"There will be no services attached to the stand."
