A MEMBER of the Holyhead and Trearddur Bay Ladies Guild celebrated a milestone birthday earlier this month.
On February 4, the ladies gathered at The Black Seal in Trearddur Bay to mark Joan Kiernan's (pictured in pink above) one hundredth birthday.
Holyhead and Trearddur Bay Ladies Guild press officer Christine Battye said: "Guild members enjoyed some lunch at The Black Seal to celebrate Mrs Joan Kiernan’s 100th birthday.
"Joan has been a valued member of the guild since 1969 and during the last fifty years has tirelessly helped to raise funds for the RNLI.
"It was a very happy occasion and we were all delighted to share this memorable birthday with Joan."
Guild members raise hundreds of thousands of pounds to support their local RNLI crews all year round through a range of events for the public to enjoy.
In 2019, their biggest fundraiser of the year, the open day held in August, collected £3658.55 with a further £1052.34 also added to the pot soon after.
