A GWYNEDD street has picked up a prestigious prize at the Great British High Street Awards 2019.
Palace Street in Caernarfon was up against Mold High Street for The Rising Star Award (Wales), which celebrates up and coming local communities on their way to "transforming for the future".
The former came out on top, meaning it also walked away with a £15,000 cash prize.
Gavin Owen, the manager of Caernarfon's Business Improvement District - Hwb Caernarfon attended the awards ceremony.
He said: "We didn't win the overall award, but Palace Street Caernarfon won the Wales category so congratulations to everyone on Palace Street Let's go one better next year."
