A PERSON was rescued from a car that collided with a tractor near Abergele on Wednesday.

North Wales Police and Welsh Ambulance Service (WAS) crews were called the two-vehicle incident near Borth Roundabout at about 11.45am.

“We were called to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision near Borth Roundabout, Abergele at approximately 11.45am on Tuesday, January 21,” a WAS spokesperson said.

“We sent one rapid response vehicle, one emergency ambulance and an air ambulance.”

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called at 11.55am after one person had become trapped in the car. It sent three crews to use cutting equipment to remove the person.

“We were called at 11.55am to report a person had become trapped in a vehicle,” a fire service spokesperson. “We sent three crews to cut the person out of the car.

“The incident was closed at 1.22pm.”

WAS said the person was taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital by road.
