A JIM ROYLE lookalike and dedicated fundraiser has been appointed new captain of an Anglesey golf club.
Will Williams, 72, has raised thousands of pounds for various charities through his resemblance to Ricky Tomlinson's recognisable character in the popular 'The Royle Family' TV series.
Formerly a much-loved resident of Caernarfon, Mr Williams now lives in Valley on Anglesey. He has recently been appointed captain of Holyhead Golf Club with Wendy Owen being voted in as Lady captain.
Having spent several years as a member of Caernarfon Golf Club, he moved the Holyhead club six years ago.
Following a vote held at the end of November 2019, he's now been made captain of the club. Looking forward to the new year in the role, he said: "I want to help develop the junior section of the club and give younger players the opportunity to play regularly."
Will and Wendy will take over responsibilities from David Harp and Jan Fenwick as Holyhead club captains.
