THREE teenagers have been released on bail following an assault at a Gwynedd school.

The incident, said to have taken place at Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle in Penygroes, on the first day back following the Christmas break.

The three boys who assaulted the pupil, and were arrested following the incident, are not thought to be associated to the school. They have since been released on bail.

A North Wales Police spokesman added: "Police were called to Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle at 1pm yesterday January 6 to a report that three youths had turned up at the school and assaulted a pupil.

"Three boys aged 15 have been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police conditional bail."
