WITNESSES are being asked to come forward following a serious assault inside a pub in Pwllheli last week.

Shortly before 10pm on Friday December 27, a man was seriously assaulted at the Boat House pub on Stryd Fawr.

The 25-year-old was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd due to serious facial injuries.

The following day (Saturday 28), officers arrested a 27-year-old local man and he was later released on police bail pending further enquiries.

PC 3166 Kelly Mitchell of the local policing team said: “This was a nasty assault which has left a man with serious injuries. Our enquiries are ongoing, however we are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the incident, or to anybody who may have information to come forward.”
