A 75-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court today (Monday) charged with the Christmas Day murder of his wife at a seaside village.
Thomas Bryan, of Fairbourne, south Gwynedd, confirmed his name, address and date of birth during a two-minute hearing at Llandudno magistrates’ court.
He added to district judge Gwyn Jones: "I didn’t murder her.”
He was remanded in custody until Tuesday at Mold Crown Court.
The pensioner is charged with killing Vivienne Bryan, 74, at a bungalow in Francis Avenue, Fairbourne.
Defence solicitor Deborah Davies said he was hard of hearing.
North Wales Police said in a statement: "The family of Vivienne are deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of a loved family member."
