A WOMAN has been taken into custody after crashing her car and blowing positive on a road side breath test.

The woman, who was driving a Nissan Micra, turned her car on its side in the one vehicle incident during the early hours of Thursday, December 19 in Llanfairynghornwy, on the outskirts of Holyhead.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "We were called to a one vehicle road traffic collision at the location, involving one person.

"The driver wasn't injured and blew positive for a breath test before being taken into custody.

The Welsh Ambulance Service was also present at the scene, just off the A5205, with fire crews from Holyhead and Amlwch taking more than an hour to clear the debris.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue said: "We were called at 2.31 am where we dealt with the scene debris, and called a stop at 3.56am."
