CHRISTMAS came early in Caernarfon last week as hundreds of Santa's ran through the town to raise money for charity.

The seventh edition of the Santa Run/Ras Sion Corn event set off from the town's Rugby Club and saw the adults tackled a 5k race, whilst younger runners completed a 1k route.

All participants were handed a well-deserved mince pie at the finish line and all proceeds raised, which are still being counted, will be donated to the Gafael Llaw charity which supports children living with cancer.

Runners were cheered on by family, friends, carol singers and the Llanrug Silver Band.
