FESTIVE fun was in abundance as Deiniolen's Christmas celebrations got underway with the annual lights switch on.
The silver band entertained the crowds with traditional carols and all the yuletide favourites such as mince pies and mulled wine, on Friday night.
The carnival queen Zara Jones flicked the switch to light up the village with Christmas cheer.
