THE 2019 Llandudno Christmas Fayre proved to be a “great success” once more, according to its organisers.

Chief executive of the Llandudno Christmas Fayre Community Interest Co, Barry Mortlock, said that despite weather problems, "the wonderful Christmas spirit" was not dampened throughout the four days event.

He added: "Overall, the 2019 Fayre was a great success and we would like to thank everyone who came to support this years event. A very big thank you must go to our brilliant volunteers, including all the elves and ladies dressed up in Welsh costume, as well as the 2,700 entertainers for the wonderful performances at the Pafiliwn Marquee.

"A particular highlight was our Welsh day on Saturday, organised by Menter Iaith Conwy, celebrating Welsh music, song, tradition and culture.

"We also thank Conwy County Borough Council who organised the first Winter Light procession. It was great to see so many people in the Fayre and in the town centre after dark enjoying the festive activities.

"Finally, I must say a huge thank you to the Holy Trinity church for the use of their grounds and to our 2019 sponsors - Easy Living Mobility, Aber Distillery, Castell Howell, Smythe Toys and Arriva who once again provided an amazing Grotto for our fabulous Lapland."

Chapter Two of the Christmas Fayre will take place on December 14.
