SIGNIFICANT amounts of cash, drugs and weapons have been seized and a total of nine arrests made for drug supply offences during police drug operations around Bangor.
In the past two days, North Wales Police officers, in partnership with North West ROCU and British Transport Police have conducted six search warrants and carried out patrols and stop searches in and around the city.
Police report on its North Wales Police Bangor and Bethesda Facebook page that five people were arrested today (Wednesday) for drug supply offences, and significant amounts of class A drugs recovered.
They include a 16-year-old who police say will be offered "support and protection" from the relevant agencies.
Det Sergeant Dafydd Curry said:" The message is clear: this is not a 'flash in the pan' operation, we are here to stay.
"If you come to Gwynedd to deal drugs, we will find you and prosecute you. Consider carefully whether coming here to deal drugs is wise.
"Our record of identifying and apprehending those who come here to spread their misery suggests you probably won’t be operating here for very long."
