FOUR Denbigh Harriers braved the tough snowy conditions on Saturday and they headed over to Betws y Coed.

The quartet took part in the Betws 10km trail race.

This race climbs nearly 1,000 feet from Betws y Coed up to Llyn Elsi and back, mainly following off-road tracks.

The first Harrier home was Gareth Rees Jones in 16th position overall with a good time of 51 minutes and 25 seconds.

He was followed by Kate Wilson, the seventh woman overall and back to great running form, in 58 minutes and 30 seconds.

Next over the line in a Harriers' vest was Roger Snaith in 59 minutes and 47 seconds, with David Spencer finishing in 1-06.32, showing great improvements in their performances due to some good off-road training.
