A BRAVE or selfless individual is needed to turn on Prestatyn's Christmas lights.

Cllr Tony Flynn, mayor of Prestatyn and Meliden, is looking for nominations for someone to help turn on the town's Christmas Lights on Wednesday, November 27 at 3.45pm.

Rachael Astle, of Prestatyn Town Council, said: "Cllr Flynn is looking for someone that lives in Prestatyn or Meliden or attends a school in Prestatyn or Meliden who has been particularly selfless this year or who has been brave.

"Anyone who is nominated must be available on November 27."

Alternatively, pop in to Prestatyn Town Council offices to ask for a nomination form.

Everyone is welcome to join in the countdown for the Christmas light switch-on.

Artisan stall holders are needed on November 30 until 10am to 4pm. Telephone the above number. There will be a Christmas market, a trail, grotto, reindeer and activities for children.

Rachael added: "There will be a Christmas market spread throughout the town centre in various halls and a trail created through the town of the high street businesses."
