STANDARDS were once again high as competitors and visitors flocked to Anglesey for a top agriculture show.
Despite the chilly weather the annual Anglesey Winter Show drew the crowds to Mona Showground over the the weekend of Saturday, November 9 and Sunday, November 10.
Entries at the popular show included everything from the usual stock judging, pigs, sheep and horses to handicrafts, photography and cookery, to more unusual competitions - which proved popular with youngsters - such as a Santa pizza face making and edible jewellery!
Aled W Hughes, company secretary and show administrator, said:
"It was an excellent weekend with good competition and visitor attendance.
"The event was praised for giving young local exhibitors the chance to step on the competing ladder and give them confidence to go on to compete at other events further afield.
"Despite entries being lower than usual in the horse classes on Sunday, the standard of competition was high."
