A MAN has died following an incident in Caernarfon this morning, Police have confirmed.
Further to the incident in the Aber foreshore area this morning, Patrol Inspector Jason Higgins said: “We received a report at 7.34am of a casualty with a vehicle.
“Officers attended together with colleagues from NWFRS and Welsh Ambulance Service. Sadly, a local man died at the scene.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, and we are investigating the circumstances together with NWFRS. The victim’s next of kin have been informed.”
A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service, who were also at the scene, said: “We were called today at approximately 7:32am to reports of an incident near Caernarfon golf club.
"We responded with two ambulances and one rapid response vehicle.”
North Wales Fire and Rescue teams were also on the scene and the road was closed for around five hours before re-opening in the early afternoon.
