A NEW Friendship Group has opened in the heart of an Anglesey community.
The self help group opened on September and is locate at the War Memorial Community Centre in Meni Bridge.
Members of the group hope it can be a big success in terms of helping people who are lonely and isolated.
Organiser Mark Stephens said: "It is a great opportunity for those who may have retired, lost someone close or a person with mind care needs such as depression, anxiety etc., to come together to make new friends and feel less isolated".
Mr Stephens went on to say, "The Menai Bridge War Memorial Centre, which is in the heart of our community has just been refurbished with new toilets and disabled facilities on street level making it a disabled friendly environment for the new group to meet."
It is hoped the new social group will be a diverse group welcoming people from varied and collective backgrounds.
Their meetings are held between 1pm and 3pm on Fridays. Contact: BridgesFriendshipGroup@outlook.com for more information.
